Road Signs of Faith

Nothing is scarier than being stuck in traffic and seeing your gas tank sensor light up. Thankfully, I saw a road sign for a gas station just a few meters ahead.

Instantly, my heart rate slowed down just like the traffic. And the blinking gas sensor didn’t bother me anymore.

At that moment, all I cared for was finding the nearest gas station. Seeing the road sign gave me the assurance I needed that there was one nearby.

I believe that our faith is always based on assurance. We put our faith in what we know is true, based on facts and evidence. Like a road sign telling me I’m safe, even when I’m still on my way.

Maybe you're driving life without knowing where the next gas station is, and you need a road sign that points to a place of relief and security.

The truth is, God already gave us a road sign. He gave us His Word, the Bible.

It is the marker that assures us that God is real and He is actively working in our lives, guiding us as we go on the highways and byways of life. As the psalmist says, God’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light for our path.

Whether you feel lost and discouraged. Or even if you have lots of questions and doubts. I encourage you to read the Bible.

Allow God to speak to you through the pages of His Word. Meditate on it. Let it strengthen your faith with assurance and peace.

So, the next time your gas sensor lights up, just look for God’s road signs.
