A group of demons were checking out what’s trending in the world today.
They noticed that posts and topics about Christianity are on the rise.
“Sir, how can we stop people from falling into these trends?" asked one of the demon staff. "Do you see how many people are posting Bible verses on their walls? Anyone can talk about God in the same light as politics and sports."
“Don’t be bothered by trends,” replied the demon manager.
“But sir, don’t you think this will draw more people to believe in God?”
“Yes it will.
But if we can’t stop people from believing in God,
we’ll just prevent them from trusting in Him.”
“So, what will we tell them?”
“That God is real
But you don’t need Him.”
Let them pray shallow prayers
But tell them that believing in themselves works better.
Even without God in the picture,
they can get whatever they wish for
as long as they put their mind into it.
Let them quote Bible verses.
But tell them there's no need to study it.
Let them carelessly use verses to validate what they want to say,
even if it contradicts what God actually means by it.
Let them listen to positive music.
But don’t let them know the difference between authentic worship and entertainment.
Hook them with beats and rhythms that feel so good it diminishes any desire to worship God.
Let them go to church.
But tell them to find one that will satisfy them.
To stay away from a church that preaches too much Bible, especially those that talk about sin- they don’t need that negativity.
But lead them to one that will make them self absorbed.
Until they forget what it means to serve God and His people.
And lastly,
Let them say “God loves me.”
But let them define love freely on their own terms,
according to their own selfish desires.
So they won’t know the true meaning of the Cross
and why people need a Savior.
“Don’t bother with the algorithms and analytics,’” reminds the demon manager.
“Likes and shares don’t mean anything.
As long as they stay foolishly blind from the Truth
why would they need God anyway?”
