Worksheets Called Life

We equate love with joy and comfort.

But sometimes, love also means challenges and discipline.

A few months ago, our son was struggling how to subtract two-digit numbers. But now, he’s practicing multiple-digit divisions on his own.

So I asked his tutor (her mommy) what helped their learning routine. She simply replied, “I just give him harder worksheets every time he finishes one.”

Sometimes, the most loving thing a parent can do is to let their child face challenges so he can find the strength and potential within himself.

And God works the same way.

He uses a different worksheet called life. And His math problems often involve health, relationships, and sometimes finances.

If you’re in the middle of life’s worksheet right now, I hope you find the strength to endure.

Because worksheets will get harder and harder as we grow to become more Christlike.

But our Heavenly Father lovingly assures us that as long as we remain faithful, every pain becomes purposeful.
