A Day of Kindness

While waiting in line at the cashier, the man paying in front of me was trying to use GCash. But unfortunately, he can't scan the qr code. Turns out his cellphone camera is broken. The cashier told him the only way they can accept GCash payment is through the qr code. He told the cashier he didn't have enough cash with him.

Since I was next in line and I have a few spare cash, I offered to pay for his items in cash, and then he could just GCash transfer me the amount.

He happily agreed. And after that, he was very thankful and even apologized for the hassle he caused. But I said it's no big deal, and I'm glad to help.

On my way driving home, I came across a large wooden plank blocking the road. I can't drive by it so I stopped and caused a traffic build-up with the cars behind me.

Suddenly, a pedicab driver pulled over and walked in front of my car. Then he pushed the heavy wooden plank away so our cars could pass through. I pulled down my window and said thanks. He nodded and gave a smile. And traffic was back to normal.

Today was indeed a day of kindness. And I hope we all get to experience it every day.
