Beauty From Brokenness

If life is a journey, then this year was definitely a rough and broken road.

It started like an uphill run. Then, a few meters ahead, you could see the pavement breaking apart.

With all the cracks and fissures right at your feet, you have a bad feeling this will not turn out well.

But as you look closely, you find something interesting along the cracks. You see signs of life growing right in between them.

And it's a reminder that beauty can grow out of brokenness.

Like concrete pavements, God breaks us so He can let something beautiful come out of us.

To draw out our strength.

To reveal our character.

To test our faith.

To show us that something beautiful can come out of our brokenness.

​This might’ve been a year of struggles.

Maybe in health, finances, or relationships.

​Keep in mind that as long as there are roads to walk on, our journey hasn’t ended yet.

Our God, who called us to this journey of life, is the One who will help us finish it well.

​And whatever the outcome may be, with all the cracks and fissures, God will ensure that we are becoming better versions of ourselves.

Trust God when He needs to break something in you today.

Because beauty can indeed grow out of brokenness.
